Looks like it! I saw 2 negative feedbacks and didn't keep going through the list. One 1955/5 sent back for refund and one silver coin that was not silver but clad. I'm no pro but it looks like a fake, or it's been re-plated. Lincoln's face doesn't look right. Could not find any doubling anywhere.

Bob....that was struck by a pitted die, so technically the grade is correct

You are laughing Maineman, but I'm not sure if that is a joke or a true statement? (i think it's a joke)

Yes that's silly that it says it was caused when the die was made.
LOL, the clad reminds me that yesterday I watched a coin show on TV, first selling unc Peace dollars, they were fine but not a bargain. After that they were selling silver Ikes and raved on forever that they were a bargain and they were "silver" and saying they are silver not like the "golden" dollars that aren't gold and gave fact after fact about the Ikes but never said they are clad with 40% silver.

It's correct depending on what BU stands for.

I think I figured that one out Ed... but still not sure about the pitted die. Seems like that could be a thing?

Wow Ed... that is false and misleading advertising! Interesting you have found that show on TV, never seen a coin show on TV. Is it local or national tv?

I think it was on HSN channel, on antenna but I get tons of channels because I made a giant antenna in my attic.

Oh... the other funny thing. They were selling "first strikes" and "first day of issue" MS70 coins in slabs. It reminded me of your question about die states. I'm biased anyway against NCLT coins, grade matters little to me on moderns that came only in proofs, they should all be 69-70. Watching it made me think how much nicer a nice RB 26 cent looks to me than those new proofs.

Not a pitted die, it was a pitted coin polished to death!

It's the good thing and the bad thing about ebay. When you buy, many other buyers will be snapping up the bad deals like decoys to help you snag a bargain variety. The bad thing is when selling many of the buyers will be bidding on the bad deals instead of the properly listed variety. It's the way it is, good and bad.
