Any of you folks ever seen any wheat cent proofs with a larger die chip? I'm talking about one that may qualify as an interior die break...maybe. I don't recall any discussions about this.

No but there is one the bay. It looks like a "hornets nest" sized chip in the hair on the obverse. I'm not planning on bidding on it, but I don't want to mess up someone's cherry pick if someone here is gonna bid. If not I will gladly link it.Comment

Here you go. May be fairly rare. I don't know much at all about wheat proofs.

I see it, not sure about the lump in the hair. It seems odd because it looks rounded and shiny. I think a die break on a proof would happen in use after it was polished (polished when made) so I don't see how it could end up as a rounded shiny lump.
Maybe it's only from the pic or something stuck there, really hard to say.
Maybe you gotta buy it to get a close up to tell LOL

I see the same photo used in 3 auctions. No reason to think you'll get that exact coin from any of them. Also, the one seller that used it twice didn't say you get the same coin in the pic, the different seller said you don't get the same coin.
Looks like 2 different sellers.

I can relate.....you find a sold item that is close to your own and you use the "sell one like this" button....then put in your own description but the item specifics are copied over and seem to hide until you've posted the item and somebody has bid on it
But....you can notify the seller if it bugs you
