What I did was:
-Cropping both pictures (Ken's and mine) to get about the same take on both. I just analyzed the 3rd quadrant (SW) from Liberty to the bust left corner.
-Straighten Ken's pic a bit as it was a bit rotated with respect to the horizontal.
-Refocus his pic a bit.
-Display both in succession to detect differences.
That area appeared to be very similar to me. I attributed the minor differences as originated by difference in the die age at the time of stamping each coin.
That's the best I could do using ordinary editing software. I don't have any sophisticated software tool to superimpose both images and make a more precise assertion.
I appreciate you taking the time to analyze the pics and clarify everything. It will take sometime for me though to learn all that you mentioned and be able to follow through that analysis.
