Matte?

    Matte?

    I found a 1937 that looks like a matte, I know they stopped making proofs in 1916 and didnt start back til 1936 and they werent matte finish but Is it possible that a matte was made in 1937. Any and all input is welcome and appreciated. Im still learning about proofs. Here are some pics.

    Its just a nice bold looking bus strike.

    They never did much with proofs in the D mint.

          At that level of wear any matte finish would be worn flat.
