    1941-s (small) or 1941-S(LARGE) CENT

Which S mint mark was less minted in 1941?

The Large date is more scarce. Exact numbers are unknown but a personal accounting (that I started in about 1990, and am still doing) is showing a ratio of about 10:1

Cool. I have a full roll of the large mintmarks that I have saved. Just more 'stuff' to find a space for Ken.

It is Jim, but that still leaves about 9.2 million out there. Of course, this is just my study. Chuck Daughtrey did one as well prior to writing his book, and he figured a 12:1 ratio. Either way, they are a little more difficult, but not impossible to find.

Since you have been working on yours for 28+ years I think that is a fair assessment of the ratio... Taking into account the coins age and attrition (even if only 1% a year) then that ratio could easily swing way out there!!!
