The best I can figure this is a 1987d-1DO-003. What do you think?

The only thing that I see that resembles the listing for the 003 is they both have zinc showing at the southeast side of the mm. This is very common and has nothing to do with a doubled die. Is that what you are looking at? There is no extra thickness on the date like the listing.Comment

I think what may be throwing you is the MM location??? On a quick comparison one would say it is a match however it is deceiving... It looks spot on for its north south position but when we look at is east west position it gets a little hairy... When comparing yours against CCs 003 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds we must also take into account the extra thickness of 003s date... If we draw a north-south vertical line, following the MMs vertical bar, Up thru the 9 then compare the distance of the line from the jacket your MM will be to far west... Coupled with the lack of thickness in the date we can determine yours is not a a match to 003 or a DDO... Hope that helps a bit!!!Jim
