Nice one might be an upgrade if you have a folder to fill.
Thanks Ed!! It has a few nicks and dings but would probably still go mid to high AU I think. I say I don't collect but have a few thousand cents I seem to be holding onto now. I should start filling a folder, I have several from lots I have bought.
Very nice wheat from a roll Jon! Lots of nice detail, especially for a circulated 1947! Yeah... we just started filling our Ed System tubes and now we need to think about filling folders

Thanks Viv!! Let me know if you would like a folder and I'll send you one, I have several.
Thought I should ad, folders are fun and look great full of nice cents.
They really aren't good for long term storage. Coins will tone and get album toning and if they stay in it long enough some of the stuff sticks or migrates to the coin. Sulfur in the cardboard causes toning. On top of that, you need to be careful not to make fingerprints putting them in the folders.
The better folders like Dansco are safer but still not as safe as a plastic tube.
Ed, I remember you saying something about this before so I took all of my Lincolns out of the folder and put them back into tubes. Some of them were not that great looking and probably could have stayed in the folder but once I started taking them out I decided to not use it again. Seems like someone posted a clear sheet that you can put in a 3 ring binder that would hold flips, so you could see both sides of the coin, I thought that was a pretty cool idea

That's what I'm using viv.
They go into a 2x2 Saflip and then into a 3-ring binder, with tabs to separate the diferent types of Lincoln's. You can even stack them 2 deep if you want.

Thanks Cliff, lucky find!! Yeah, I think you may have posted a pic of your folder, that's a great way to store them.
Nice find... I have a question for the pros - Is the minor ski slope on the E of WEs lower horizontal bar normal for these??? Maybe we should invent a new coin folder/holder and call it the LCF (Lincoln Cent Folder by the Lincoln Cent Forum)... Make it so that the folder is made from the safe flip material and cushioned to prevent damage!!!
Jim (A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!
