Hello back everyone. To me, Lincoln's nose look's doubled. And at the same time, am wondering if it's a blister in the right spot, with a SPOT in the right spot shadowing the bottom of the nose --to make it look like a double nose!? Who "nose"? Lol.
Thank you, mustbebob. It sure did. I'm like---what's with that double nose? Even the 1 on the 2001 looks off. If it was a super dooper looking penny, than it might take me a triple look, or more. But in this case, considering the penny's condition is not ultimate, yah, I can see that. Just wanted to put it out here. Just like this other penny, found in the same roll, a 1986-D (which seems to me is famous for D blisters), and this one --also heavily crushed in places, just happens to look like I a very overwhelmed blister that looks like another D; like it's hanging on to the other D.
Cool looking... I'm in with a gas bubble... Sometimes the gas bubbles are real deep in the zinc... Later on in the coins life the the deep bubble will burst causing a crater in the coin... You will see some of the frankenzincs with missing MMs do to the eruption of the bubbles... Your 86 there looks like it was a bubble just under the plating!!!
