Need advice for my 1st slabbing experience

I have never had a coin slabbed before but want to start. I was fortunate enough to have discovered one of the 2009 EC DDR's which is now listed with Billy as 2009P EC CDDR-004 and with CC as 2009P-1DR-048. Since this was my 1st discovery since coming back to the hobby, I though it would be neat to have the coin graded and slabbed.
Actually, I have 3 of them.
Who should I send it to?
What should I ask for and/or what instructions if any should I include with the submission.

I am no longer a member of any organization as I had let my memberships lapse when I left the hobby.

    Thanks for your help.

I would choose ANACS. Billy should be able to help you best with what to put on the form. I'm not sure if you want the words "discovery piece" on the slab, but Billy can help you get it on there. You don't need to be a member of any club to submit coins to ANACS. I think they will send you a free submission kit if you call them. www.anacs.com

I would get the submission kit first if they still offer one.

I can tell you how to package your coins after you talk to Billy.

      Thanks Brad.

I just checked out the Anacs site.
It looks like its $10 per coin to grade and slab. $5.00 per coin to verify the variety or $10.00 per coin to attribute the expected variety. The prices are based on modern 1964 and newer coins with a min of 5. Plus $20.00 shipping.
If I were sending in 5 varieties, my cost with shipping would be $95.00
So it would be in my best interest to send in coins that are worth something.

      Does this sound right?

The price sounds right. Don't forget that you have to pay to have it shipped there too. I'm not sure which coins you are sending in so it is hard to say if it is worth it, but if you want them certified this is the best way and you are not going to find any other places that are cheaper.
