    1934 D cent

    Have a thin planchette, weighing 2.4gms. Any thoughts? The wheatie has a silver type sound when handling it.

    Acid dipped ones make the clink sound but that one looks like it might all be from corrosion, maybe it was corroded and green and then circulated more and wore it down to whatever was left of it. The sound being clinky may be from being thin or porous.

      That poor coin should have been retired I'm with Ed on the corrosion (environmental damage)!!!

        That's what it must be. The planchette is thin also.
