These pics are from a 1943S 1MM-10.
My coin appears to also be a LDS version as I have all the same markings as the listed coin. The one thing extra that mine has is what appears to be a flaw in the die. My pics show an area directly above the date that is odd. Sort of looks like termite damage/trails with deep gouges emanating outward from the area.
While the CC coin does not appear to have this issue, the photos don't really show the area above the date. The area in question does not look as though it is damage to my coin because it still has a smooth, satiny appearance.
Just curious on what this is and what caused it.
