A very nice 1918-S found in a BWR.

I spotted this nice 1918-S while searching a brick I got from my bank this week. Just wondering, are other roll searchers noticing more early and high grade wheat pennies lately. I think it may be the result of people cashing in coins during the shortage. I have found two 1909-VDB'S and even a few Indian heads over the last few months. Maybe people decided to get rid of those coffee cans full of pennies that an older relative had in his closet since he was a kid. Either way, I hope it keeps up for awhile. It makes roll searching more interesting.

Super cool finds you are making and I like your thoughts on why this may be happening!! Maybe I should start checking out some bricks again!!

Excellent find.Could be folks have turned in coins for cash or if you recall awhile back, there was an effort to put coins by collectors back into circulation to get new collectors started.

Very nice find! I'm not seeing a larger amount of wheats per bank box but have noticed more teens recently.

That's fantastic, I did recently find a 1914 but it was in poor shape.
