I think its a minor strike through. Coin still looks better than MS64 to me. Beauty. Not sure about that price though. Thats where the “buy the coin, not the slab” comes in. PCGS priced in red is $1200 but RB in $475. If you like it, thats all that matters

So older Lincolns tend to age in that dark red color which PCGS thus gives a full red designation. There are no breaks or discoloration in the overall surfaces - so again, full RED. The Raised area I would call a chip but I am not always correct on my definitions. Again, I believe this is more acceptable than gouge so the coin gets the grade. I mean the only thing that matters here, and I am sure it is why you bought the coin; is the fact that a full red 1918 D - is way to scarce to pass up. I think you did very well. As far as a 65 grade those spots on the obv may be the grade breaker - I would leave it alone as is. But its your coin.
