Nice catch, Bob! I looked at the bay pics last night and could not see what you were seeing. What's going on with the field, west of the east wheat? It looks raised. Was the crack your deciding pup?

It was the Rev Die crack found on Stage C for this RPM that caught my attention. Those raised ares you mentioned are probably light finger print sweep. But honestly, I have a XF example and was not sure this was going to be any better given the sellers Pics and I assumed I would sell it off if it was not. But getting a potential MS 64 either Red or R&B example was NOT was I was expecting given those crappy picks. Kinda makes up for all the others that don't turn out as we often hope.

Good question on the 64 grade - I have to wait a darn long time to find out but I will keep you posted.

                Very nice coin indeed. Congrats.
A few months ago I picked up a 1930-D on eBay with what looked like an RPM-002 or FS-502. Pics weren't good enough to tell for sure. So I got it in the mail and put it under the scope and saw the RPM. In my excitement that it was in fact an RPM I threw it in the next batch of coins to PCGS. Well, I didn't get the FS-502 I said it was. It was just graded as a plain 1930-D MS64. Disappointed, I put it back under the scope when it came back and found it to be the RPM-003. That's what happens when you make assumptions and don't verify the attribution and run it off to a TPG. One good thing is that it looks to be about 15% rotated. Other than that I have a nice 1930-D RPM-003 MS64 Lincoln.

                        Bob,
I didn't have time to look at varieties for this one but I noticed the crack through the right wheat and hoped it was the pickup for the variety you wanted.
Excellent to see that it was the one you wanted. Congrats on it being better in hand than you thought from the seller's images.
