It's worth 1 cent. They made billions of them.

You must distinguish between large and small dates and condition -- Need a pic to make that determination. The 1982-D copper is the one that is worth the most.

Here is some info on the 1982 lincolns... In 1982 the mint switched from a solid one cent weighing 3.1 grams to a copper plated coin weighing 2.5 grams... If you find a 1982D small date weighing 3.1 grams then that is a find worth getting excited about!!!

You should avoid clickbait articles. The objective of articles like this is to take 20 pages to explain a sentence worth of information so that you look at all of their ads. This particular article is completely full of disinformation and purposeful misdirection.
It's only purpose is to get you to spend as much time viewing ads as possible. It has no interest whatsoever telling you anything factual.

I agree with Will, hype talk is directed toward the 1982D small date copper 3.11 gram (which I believe 2 have ever been found) could be the big unicorn score). But people do search for them. After the thousands of cents I've handled, weighing has become a thing I hardly ever have to do. The difference in weigh can usually be detected by appearance or feel. I Mint state 82 cooper is still very common to purchase at a very low price. Happy Hunting!
