    NGC vs. PCGS

I've been with NGC for 2 years. I really like them. When I found my second 92D close am I was asked to send it to PCGS by an employee of the company. With NGC you can check the status of a submission, and it will show what stage of the process the coin is in. With PCGS status simply says OK. I shipped the coin 1-16-08, they processed the submission 1-24-08. I've never had a submission on the lowest tier take this long. Plus you have no updates on the coin with PCGS. I think I will stick with NGC. Any thaughts?

I usually use NGC. Most of the time it takes about a month to get them back. I wasnt aware you could check the status online. I have avoided PCGS because I have heard from dealers that it takes quite a while to get the coins back and because if the increased cost of joining. ICG was very quick. ANACS wasn't bad. I think I'll stick with NGC though. I think it's the best value for the money.

I always use ANACS, so I guess I'm no help here.

Yeah.. NGC is my choice.. Although I did get 8 back from PCGS it took forever.. I just submitted 8 coins to NGC on their Modern Tier. They arrived Monday last week and and and 4 days later I got my shipping notification and they are in transit back and all got a grade..whew!

That is the fastest I have ever seen it.. I like NGC because they are quick to answer emails and their online order system is a breeze and status updates are nice..

Yea, the modern tier of NGC is pretty fast. They also tell you where the coin is at all times. PCGS just says OK. What's that supposed to mean?
