    Mint uncirculated sets

Usually I am slamming the US Mint coins, from the uncirculated to the silver proof... with good reason because the quality has been shamefully poor.
Yesterday I received five of the complete sets of the 2009 P and D mint uncirculated coins. Except for a finger print on one coin, and a couple with water or black spots, and dings, most of the coins are as good as, or in some cases, better than the Mint Proof sets I purchased. So, right now I am .

Glad the uncirculated sets turned out well for you! I was pretty happy with the two sets I received. The only real problem coin I got in the set was a quarter. It had some sort of black smear on it. Oh well.

I was happy with mine too. I ordered five sets, and most of the coins look really good.

I picked up a mint set a couple of days ago here in DC. The Denver Log Splitter Lincoln (to my delight) has a double thumb. I've heard there are a lot of them though. One of the Dollar Coins either was struck a wire or it has a big scratch. I suspect a scratch--can't really tell.

Check all those Mint sets for doubled dies.

My two sets that were sent here to Wahington(the state) had packing errors with the cent in the half slot, overall the quality was good but was disapointed that the rims of the quarters were dinged up the same as I have seen from the rolls.

                1. Jean my two sets were very nice. I agree with you on their condition. I really like the satin/matte finish on the Kennedy and Lincolns. The mint proof set has some real competition here. Gave a set to my 17 year old granddaughter and the sparkle of them really got to her. Thanks mint. mousey
