    1975 Brinks bag

What do you all make of this one?

I've had this one for about a year now.

On another forum someone suggested that Brink's may have reused mint bags and that there might not only be 1975s in the bag.
Can anyone confirm this or have any experience?

    Thanks
    Jon

Well, it seems to be just what it says, a bag of 1975s...

Hmmm... errors... only one variety to speak of, listed by Mr. Crawford.

What would $50 in lincoln cents weigh? If weighs differently then it is a mixed bag?

Does this mean you opened it? A good source for BU coins but that's about it.

However what kind of New Variety Has Not Been Found.

You need to look at it both ways.

Just for instance look at the 1982 DDR that was found in rolls after all these years.
Just playing the Devils Advocate (LOL).

I have a bag of 1964 rolls that were sealed like this and I have found Wheat pennies in with the BU. After all these years I still have not opened all the rolls and work with them occasionally.

Also the lead seals on the bags can be removed and put back on if they are not too tight. There is no guarantee what you will find. However good luck.

I'm curious- where did you get this bag- at a bank? Or dealer?

This was part of a buy from a dealer looking to unload around $260 face in Lincolns

I agree with Joe. Maybe all the varieties are in that bag and maybe thats why nobody ever found one yet. Im sure you will find SOMETHING worth your time.

ps Ill take one off your hands. I need a nice BU one for my Dansco!!!.

work around the banks that roll coins..this tag say nj, and so you may not see 75s but only 75P think that it a roll of the dice to see what you have in it...brake a roll or two and see unless you can get a better deal on the whole bag as an investment...richard

There might not be much in the way of varieties, but you might find an interesting error or 2. There might even be a high end MS or 2 in the lot. I agree with Jason, search, have fun.
