What to ask for at bank?

I'm a long time collector but never collected varieties. After checking out this site, you guys got me hooked on it. So, for the last month I've been searching with my loupe. My wife works at a bank. What should I be asking her to bring me in order to best search for varieties? I've been asking for rolls that people have cashed in or deposited. I assume this would be my best bet for getting "unsearched" rolls. Are there any other good sources from the bank that I may have an advantage over an ordinary customer?
Believe it or not, on the first roll I searched from my wife, I found a choice 1995 DDO 1. My first double die. Think I'm hooked?

Welcome to LCR. You are going to like it here! It looks like you have a good source
for roll searching. One other idea is to see if they have a full box of circulated rolled coins stashed away that they may have forgotten about. The boxes from Brinks and other armored car companies may come from a wider customer base and are fun to search.

Be nice at the bank, even if they think you're carzy. Ask for a box if they have them, or just $25.
Keep up the hunt, post your finds and FYI the correct term is doubled die with a "d" on the end not double die...

Welcome to the forum. Glad you could join in on the fun.
I really don't think there is any roll or box better than the next. Mix it up and see how it goes. You have nothing to lose. If you don't find something in one roll, you might in the next no matter if it's hand rolled, shrink wrapped, bank wrapped, from Brinks, Loomis, the mall fountain or the penny arcade. Just search, look, read, learn, use the forum to bounce off questions and to post possible finds. Most important....have fun.

I can see you in the fountain now dad, magnifier and all.... welcome kkady, I even have a habit of finding penny's that need closer inspection in mini-marts (1998 wide-AM in a take-a-penny at a gas station) and my wife knows that penny's are find to spend, after inspection. its all in fun, thank you for joining/ sharing with us.

I alway use my regular bank and have gotten to know the "change orderer". I always politly ask her to order two bricks at a time and give them a week or two to have the order come in, I also find it helpful to let them know that I will be returning two bricks if that is the case so they can keep their change count in ballance at that branch. They find that very helpful as to not over burden them with to many cents to redistribute.

At my bank they will get me boxes but they told me not to bring them back.So I got another bank account down the street that will take my search cents.I have them put it in my new savings account.Believe me my savings account is growing fast.

In my area (Western CT) there is a zillion banks. My main bank has a coin counter in several branches, so I bring unrolled coins to any of them. I try to spread it around so not to be a total pain in the butt.

I usually ask for $10.00 worth of customer wrapped rolls at dozens of other banks.
I like customer rolls because of the surprises. I got just as much fun when I found 23 dimes in a penny roll as when I found my 1988 RDV6.
