    who is nnc

i have been selling off my many dups of rpms and stuff on ebay and i just had a collector for 33 years email me back saying that the three rpms i sold him for 99 cents each where conterfeit per nnc and wanted his money back and told me to do the right thing and that i should not be selling conterfeits a 51 s/s , 53 d/d #1, 57 d/d/d

i laughed and told him that get me a letter from a repituble company that that are conterfeit and i will do the right thing and refund his money

and that it's not the money it's the point that nnc are a joke as far as im concerned and it say's on there web site the they don't grade errors or varitys

    so who are they ???

First of all, counterfeiting those dies seems like a fruitless endeavor as those varieties are probably pretty common. I think you replied the correct way in asking for verification from a reputable company. NNC is not a well known company (which is one of the reasons EBay does not allow them) , nor do they attribute errors/varieties as you mentioned. I would stick to your guns on this one, and suspect that the coins I receive back may not be the ones you sent to him in the first place.

I did some research on nnc awhile ago and found out they retail coins that they themselves, grade, and are usually around +5 to +7 points above what a respectable grading service would grade a coin. Ebay used to be flooded with nnc slabs but I dont see them so much anymore.
