I'm horrible at colors (I'm blue and green color blind)but one of these looks a little different in color or tint and was wondering if it might be one of those brass cents. I haven't heard of any 1983 denver brass cents but thought I'd ask for some opinions.
Thanks
Rock
The color is certainly different Rock. I'm not sure how one authenticates whether it is brass or not though. Considering the scenario outlined by the Mint concerning the creation of these brass planchets, I supposed it is possible for it to have happened other years or at other Mints...
1983P seems to be loaded with various gradations of that color. I assume the color changes as the solution gets more and more contaminated by the zinc.
