wheat cents

Hi:
Pictured is our wheat cent finds from 1/1/2010 till now. looks to be about 400. I have been really surprised how many wheats are still out there. Is anybody else finding alot?

I wish. Maybe it's just living in the city, like all the extra soot in the air, I just rarely find wheats up here while searching...maybe 2 or 3 per $25.

Roger, out of how many searched? I have about the same numbers as Jason in fact my 60's would not equal your wheats.

I might find at least 5 wheats per box and you have twice as much as I do.

I usually find between 5 to 10 per bag.

Didn't a fellow LCR member just return several hundred wheats to the supermarket? Maybe it was a store next to Roger's house. I'm like the rest of you, maybe 5-10 per box if lucky. At that rate I will have to look thru 40-80 boxes to catch up and thats about a years work for me.

I bought three fresh bags Jan 26 and just finished them, keeping track of all i found
in those 300 rolls:

Plus i keep all nice mintstate memorial copper and all battered and beaten up memorial culls. This is average for me and my searching, I did 3431 rolls in '09
and this is average for any amount of rolls I search. I live in sparsely populated
place, only 13,000 people in this county. My pennies come from one bank and it's branch, they come from people's homes and fruit jars just like any other area in this nation. I still have fun.

we find an average of 18-22 per box - smome boxes are only 11 but others were as high as 45.

two years ago, I often found 10-20 per roll. Not so now, avg 1 or 2.

I average about 15 per box. 4 boxes ago I lucked out and found 14 rolls of solid wheats! gotta love it when that happens

I average about 6-7 per box. I did get lucky on one box that had about 80-100 in it. You just hit some lucky boxes.
