    Are Die Cracks collectible?

I would think for the cents in the 1980s they hold no premium over the regular counter parts are die cracks only valuable if they are on a coin of a key or semi key year? if not what other years modern day are worth a second look to pull

Some sellers push moderate to string die cracks and make them appear collectible. These examples get purchased for a few bucks but I am not sure if they have a 1 to 1 resale value later and could lose ground. Last year DDRs with cracks (not even decent ones) got a little out of hand; maybe it will continue, maybe it won't. To me, I think a crack on a key date or semi-key date would not add value.

Anything you want to collect is collectable. Big old heavy die cracks oughta
work. They be yours! And if you ever grow tired of them just turn them loose
again! I like to keep a few, especially the ones on 1983 reverses that go NE, SE,
NW and SW from memorial building to rim, for example.

I only keep the major die cracks - especially the rim to rim ones - like retained cuds.
