As I sort my third box of Lincolns, I'm wondering if it's time to start saving the older copper cents and put the copper-plated zinc coins back into circulation?
Bob,
I do that if there is nothing on them worth keeping (for me anyway)... The older LCs' aren't pure copper anyway... If they were they would be worth more for copper than for a penny... LOL!!!

Jim (A.K.A. Elmer Fudd) Be verwy verwy quiet... I'm hunting coins!!! Good Hunting!!!
I decided to recycle my copper Lincolns because I could not find a way to make a hammered kitchen sink from them. There was 146.00 worth of rolled coins that no one would want in their collection.
