Send it in! Send it in! twoyankees can you get us a closer image?
I go back to when someone said, "you CAN have a DD with MD", and after seeing JC's ex and going back for another look, it does look notched.
I really do need to look at mine a little closer.
    THIS IS GREAT!

I have pointed out the most prominent notching, which corresponds to the most prominent notching in Jason's pictures.

I respect your caution, everyone, but this coin is indeed a DDR. Examined in hand, it will prove itself to you.

Glad you like it . But here's the deal, it was so close, I was drooling over it. Bob hipped me to the fact that some was so close to class 2 but the splits in the serifs and notching were missing, in all cases. MD! I still have it. No way I was puting it back out there. Tom

The U looks more convincing with the blown-up pics. I would suggest an in hand examination to be certain.

The splits are there, twoyankees, and Bob will see them if you send it in. It's just that your pictures do not do the coin justice.

WOW! You guys are freakin' me out. These pics are as good as it gets with my cheap-o scope. Hope it gives you a little better of an idea. If I had a cigar, I'd smoke it,but I think I'll have a beer. Let me know. Tom

                Tom,
You have got to send that one in... IMHO it appears to be both a DD and MD combo... The only way to really tell is to have it checked... Have a beer for me... LOL... Now this is one excellent thread... Disagreements abound but everyone agrees that in hand is the only solution... Thanks everyone!!!

Yep, just did on the thread " My Last Delema of 2011". I finally saw a great example that Bob listed on CC's. It' a great feeling to finally give this coin a proper name. Tom
