    1931 S Lincoln wheat cent

    Hi all,
Just wanted to share my latest acquisition.
I have a slabbed 31S in AU55 Brown, but this one seems to outshine it in a way that I cannot quite describe.
(Oh, seller and price shall remain anonymous).
    Enjoy!
    Thanks everyone,
    Jean

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

Do you think it is yummy enough to send for slabbing, say PCGS? I think it could bring an MS62-64, and probably red brown, which is better than the one I already have. Worth slabbing, or not? I do not yet know.

Congrats on that 1931-S wheatie. It's a beauty! What are your plans for it? How did you come by it?

This is a raw coin I purchased from a friend and it will replace my 1931S PCGS AU55 BN.
I am considering having it slabbed.
                    Thanks everyone!!

                      Nice coin!

Based on the pics it looks AU-55/58 to me. Personally, I wouldn't slab one of these unless it was at least MS64. The cost is hard to justify with anything less.

                        MS64RB. Have it slabbed.

She's a beauty, but I have to agree with BadThad on the grade according to the pics. It wouldn't surprize me if it got a 64 RB designation though...

Very nice 31-S Jean. I don't see anything holding it back from 64 Red-Brown.

Oh Jean I think you should slab that LC to maintain it's current state... That coin is just down right beautiful!!!
