    Lincoln $1 coin

I'm curious how many of us ordered a roll or two of the new Lincoln One Dollar from the mint.

Not me. I get these for face value at the bank.

I don't collect the pres. series, but did order an encased Lincoln Dollar since the mintage was pretty low...

I've never before ordered anything from the Mint but I could not resist this one even at the outrageous cost. I ordered a roll from each, D and P. Besides, who knows when any of my banks will get a load.

P.S. Only question is: do I break them open?

I won't order rolls of the new Lincoln Presidential Dollars because I have them in the mint uncirculated, proof and silver proof sets I ordered for my collection. My bank has never received any rolls of the Presidential dollars so far, so I doubt they will receive these.
Most of all, I believe collecting of certain coins is a personal matter and saving them for the future is what many of us enjoy. The rest of us, with little hesitation, break open those rolls and search them for varieties.

That is the Ying and the Yang, Jean. I think I'll wait a while to see if varieties are found and then decide.

              ...OR...

...you could find the varieties. (More "Ying and Yang" for ya.)

The ones in the Mint sets are different from the business strikes, as they have a special satin finish. So technically, you won't have a complete set when you buy the mint sets. My bank has consistently received shipments of every presidential dollar so far, and I doubt this time shall be an exception.

I know you are in Florida Wendell. What bank is it that always gets the new issue?

I predict these will be the highest mintage of all golden dollars produced. There will be plenty of them in rolls at banks and in circulation in time.

Actually, the bank I use is in Pennsylvania. Greenville, Pennsylvania. It is Northwest Savings Bank inside the Wal-Mart in Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Just a tad out of reach for me (in Miami, FL). Don't know where Greenville is. I spent 4 years in Wilkes Barre in late 60's. Must be on the other side?
