The first looks like an off-center struck coin that might have been struck thru scrap on the obverse. As to whether it was a finger-finger I cannot say for sure but doubt it, maybe Mike D. will chime in an enlighten us. The second was struck through a capped die

The first coin was struck off-center and simultaneously indented by an unstruck planchet. Sometimes the formerly curved edge of the overlying planchet will be deformed to such an extent that it forms a straight border. I wrote an article about these sorts of indents some years back in Errorscope. A strike through a feeder finger looks entirely different, much deeper with a different microscopic texture.Comment
