We saw just that last month with both the P and the D CAMs. Sean, you seem to be hung up on what the price guide tells you what a coin is worth, or what price you should be paying for rare coins in every grade. It'd be great if this business worked like that, something similar to trading stocks, and it does to a point if you are buying and selling a certain variety (ie. 1955ddo) that is well established/auctioned daily. For coins like the 92 cam, these same rules do not apply. To the best of my knowledge, this coin has never been sold in PCGS MS63rb, so where does PCGS come up with a tag of $7k? Id be willing to bet that if this 63rb was auctioned before the 67red, we'd see an identical realized price. And a reminder that probably doesnt need to be given: the 92-D cam in one grade higher (64rb) sold for $20,700 last month. Is it hard to believe that the person who shelled out the $ for that coin won't repeat his bid for a comparably graded counterpart? This one is actually rarer...
I thought the coin facts sheet were "realized" prices. PCGS has it's own "guide" in another section of their site. The point you make about the 92-D that sold through HA is a good point, but I feel that the 92 that sold on eBay will hurt this coin from getting $22K because of the higher grade and the fact it was full on red.

I could see this going from $7k up to maybe $19k. I don't think anyone would pay higher than the MS64rb and now that they are slowly emerging from hiding I see prices settling in line with the last few sales. If they keep popping up prices will drop.

I was a little off on my estimate, but close.

Now who wants to bet how long until the next one pops up for sale?

Next week. Although the pop has not increased. Both of these have been on the pop report.

I'm guessing 2 weeks or less.

I agree, one to two weeks. If you want to sell, now might be better than later.
