Buyer Beware | 1909-S vdb - added "S" mint mark.

    Hello all,

I was surfing e-bay this morning and came across this auction.

No question that this coin has had an "S" mint mark added. The mint mark is totally wrong in every way!! Just another lesson to learn your key date diagnostics before making an extremely bad purchase.

    Stay safe out there everyone.

I looked at this exact auction last night and thought the same thing. That S job is ugly. Doesn't anybody take pride in their counterfeiting anymore? Lol.

Maybe it's from being on a borrowed pc, but it looks like a complete counterfeit to me, not just an added MM.

Added mintmark or counterfeit altogether, it should be reported and taken down.

In July, seller sold a similar coin. 1909S VDB. Customer raved about it in the feedback.

Oh, the perils of e-bay! I bet the seller has roll's of this crap. I will be watching him closely from here on!
