    Buyer Beware | instead of cleaning they now are calling it restored?

    Buyers need to read the fine print on some of the auctions on E bay. Couldn't believe how many Lincolns were on to day that have been cleaned. No conservation just plain cleaned and re branding the term by calling it restored. Here is only one of several that don't mind advertising them as restored.

    A quote from your listing;
    "the coin you will receive will be by default a RAW, un-restored coin. We WILL however still restore coins for you if you prefer them that way."

        These are some of the worst looking and harshest cleaned coins I have seen. They are not restored whatsoever. As we have mentioned to our membership before, please be informed before you buy. IMHO, This is a pretty bad example and an even sorrier description.

            Used that same method to ruin my wheat cents as a kid.

              If I remember correctly there is no way to restore a coin... All the can be done is preserved/conserved!!!

                Jeez when I give a filthy coin a soak in water and/or Acetone a blot dry, I feel I might hurt the value -- But THAT is bad -- real bad... Why not just use scouring powder!?!?!!
