How to handle unpaid auctions on eBay?

I was wondering how you guys handle unpaid auctions on eBay when the winner doesn't pay? I recently sold 3 different lots of bulk wheats spread out over 3 days that were won by the same buyer. I put a 48 hour payment time on each lot. Buyer has until 8PM tonight before payment period ends. I messaged him about combining invoices/shipping but have gotten no response. Buyer has 100% feedback on roughly 250 purchases over last twelve months so I want to believe they had good intentions but I'm not sure. They received feedbacks on Aug. 16th and today for purchases from other buyers which gives me pause because most sellers leave feedback as soon as they receive payment.
How should I approach this if they don't pay? I hate to leave a negative feedback(never left one for anyone so far) but I honestly don't know how to avoid it. Won't eBay's people give them an automatic negative feedback if they don't pay or does eBay allow sellers to blow this off and just relist. At a minimum I want to make sure I don't take a hit from eBay for NOT leaving a neg for non-payment.
    What to do?

Any idea where the buyer lives??? With all the bad weather you never know... Does ebay have a way to contact them???

I would wait at least a week more. Then file an unpaid item case with eBay. Unfortunately, there is no quick way to get the auctions back up immediately or force the buyer to pay.
If you want to gamble, you can just relist the coins and assume the guy is not going to pay, but I would advise against that.

I agree with Brad. I have had many unpaid auctions with coppercoins. Usually, filing the unpaid item case works. I would give them the benefit of the doubt based on their feedback. eBay will put a time limit on the case for them to respond with their intentions. Let us know how it goes.

Just filed unpaid item cases on the three lots. Sent buyer 3 messages with no replies. Waited eleven days after last auction ended for buyer to reply.
We'll see how this works out..........

I think you handled it very professionally. With the good feedback they had it seems like they have some kind of issue (computer failure, health, unexpectedly out of town, etc.) that is causing the issue. Especially since you have made multiple contacts and been very patient. Your attempts at communication is one key to being a good seller! Good luck!

You should have the option to offer these to the second highest bidder.

Usually, when you sell on eBay, that is the case...it is an option on the seller's end until the item is paid for. I'm just pointing it out in case he didn't know.

Didn't work out. Today was day 5 of waiting for buyer to pay after filing unpaid buyer case (day 16 since auctions). I checked buyer's feedback and two sellers posted that buuer was a non-payer. I also saw a few positive feedbacks where buyer had paid for auctions newer than mine. This was the final straw for me and I closed the case and received credit for my fees. Whadda jerk!

Too bad, but that's life. Would you mind PM'ing me the buyer's eBay name so I can add him to my blocked list ?
