What a shame. Over 300 ruined Lincoln cents. All opinions expressed are not necessarily shared by willbrooks or his affiliates. Taking them may result in serious side effects. Results may vary. Offer not valid in New Jersey. -
Good gracious!!!! Im going to have nightmares from looking at them. The worse part is the bids..... Common sense out the door!Life is not about greatness but on the impact of good onto others. It is a matter of how much one shines. Explains why I like shiny coins.Comment

Those were pretty nice until they got messed with.
Pretty sad, before TPGs when shops had bid boards they were full of that stuff. The reason is as a seller you put it on the board, the shop gets a percentage when they sell (auctions were a week or month). Perfect place to sell whizzed stuff, I always thought the dealers put their own junk there because that way they get the money but their reputation is safe, hidden because buyers only see a number representing a seller, they could not blame the shop owner. TPGs brought some reality but raw coins on ebay are still the wild west.Comment

Mostly just 'okay' everyday coins anyway, not a big deal. No major dates/varieties.
Except this might have been DDO-1, maybe just MD -- Just going by the doubling TY of LIBERTYLast edited by TPring; 02-08-2020, 06:57 PM.Comment

The 09 VDB is a no big deal even with the DDO (maybe a $200 coin if low grade unc) compared to the 21-S, 24-S, 25-S, 26-S, 27-S if those were not polished and were truly red high grades (like they look like after whizzing) but real gradable 65ish coins the 5 of them might be worth a fortune! If they were left alone not whizzed brown AU or low grade uncs they were still worth a lot. Now they're dust in the wind unless someone buys them by mistake.
It says the 26-S in 65 RD is over $100,000 in the guide. People whiz these up and some buyer looks it up in the price guides and bids thinking they won the lottery!
Look at real ones:

Well, I would not call them whizzed - but harshly cleaned is a good call. Check out their feedback! They have been slammed.
