Hello Everyone!! Just Started Collection US error Pennys....

Hello,from Kissimmee FL.As a Musican for years and Writer (Sci-Fi) I never could have thought that something so Precious as CENTS were in my hands for years and years even as a Cashier at 7-11,and Stop n Go's... just a year ago GOD inspired me to start it up.Since,only some 7-8 months ago..its been a NICE Addiction.Yes,happy to say,I found in Penny
Rolls over 100 Wheat Pennys.Even just today! My best to me..is so far a 1909s (its has No "In God We Trust" up Top. After reading online a bit I found out that DAVID BRENNERS Original Design did not include that motto and he even showed
it to President Roosevelt and he OK it.Yet,some people and experts think that its just worn out.As I try to even find a Letter up top using aMagnifing GLASS I ...cant.Someone said use a Microscope...hmmm or better yet the Ballastic TEST the do for Guns to find the SERIAL number.That never fails.So.......Happy Thank Giving to ALL!

Even more..I just found a 2011 (I am Glad God inspired me to LOOK closely at each and every Penny,not just the old Copper) with some really ODD features.Why this could be MINT ERROR? It got plated ! Its got like Digital Brick shaped images on Lincolns face setsof 3 and then sets of 2 then vertical digital Bricks,and even a extra buttons on the COAT,and a Extra Linning too.Again,its Clean,shinney.I do realize,the US Mint on these NEWER coins has virtually stopped making mistakes.
Has Anyone found the likes? If anyone has Please share the pic with me? I have tried and tried on the NET to find any pic
of 2011 Error Pennys and...nada...except a refrence to Coppercoins.com and then...I dont know how to SEARCH on the site?

Welcome to lcr - it is s great place and the people are even better.
If you can please post some pictures of the 2011 cent you found. Both the obverse(front) and reverse. Any close-ups of the areas that are of interest would be beneficial in letting us determine what kind of error or vararity you have.

Welcome to the Forum and your 1909 looks to be well circulated and is showing it's age.

As for the 2011 I would say you need to post a Pic of the coin to see what you are talking about and to be able to provide you assistance in determining the nature of the error if it is one.

I have to say,this Forum and Website is the most informative I have seen...I just learned about the 1959d with Wheat Ears sold for
some 40,000.00 from this Website...and here I was finding a bunch of 1958d from Wal-Mart...my heart was just pounding away!!
Since,I really dont have anyone around me..that appreciates this Hobby..youronline friendship and advise is GREATLY APPRECIATED.I was able to look at some 2011 Errors on Coppercoins.com but,those are all about you know the L's and the
2011 doubling etc normal normal little Errors....(MY) 2011 is completley different story..due to ADDITiONS on the coin itself
of the Digital type bricks on the FACE and Extra buttons on the Jacket..I hope and pray that its the ONLY one..and that FRIENDS
would concur it be a legitimate MINT Error...Amen! God Bless!
Why it takes me a BIt long to get the Pic? up? its because Walmart charges 3.00 for each scan..and they don't care how many
coins you have..so I ..try to get a FEW before I head out there...Happy Thanks Giving,and God Bless America!

Thanks for your replys,Its nice to find people friends online that relazie that not everyone is a PHD in these matters...and need
guidance.... I am basicly a KID looking into a Candy Jar when I open another roll of coins... I did also find a old 1924 Penny
with a P on the Back of the Wheat Ears as well.. but another forum just shot it down as PMS... I know that this FORUM
is very very Intelligent in examining ERRORS...and its very facinating.. I even found..a 1970s Perhaps a SMALL DATE error
but its very HARD to make out the Difference in the Look..in comparission to other coins..Again! Thank you,and God Bless!

I went shopping at Wal-Mart so I did a Pre-Photo session on the 2011 and it dident quiet turn out GREAT...can't see the features of the MINT mistakes clearly on the Scanner..Have to find a REAL CAMERA and take one under the SUNlight..so everyone can clearly share what I see...I showed it to someone who is into coins..and said " I'd hold on to this one...and how this was MINT Mistake is that the ROOF of the Machine that was making this 2011 Hit the coin...that why you see the Digital Bricks on Lincolns face.." well atleast I kinda know now...how this happened..I can say this..its the only time after 100,000 Pennies that I have seen anything of the sort atall...I hope someone on the Forum could later (as I post the pic) check or has connections to the US Mint to estimate HOW Many of these Errors could Possibly Exist? God Bless!
Another Friend who collected a bit a long time ago commented on the 2011 and said.."Its a
Handling Error" and no there aren't 10,000- or 100,000 like it...perhaps 2-3 at the most.When the coin got Punched it left to get the Zinc plating (in between that process) something HIT it to
create that for the 2011! I was a bit happy! But I realize,its up to the Preview of the Veterans
of this Coin Science for Acceptance to be Appreciated Like Charles D!!

Hi,There...Friend! I visited your LINK for your WebPage.Its NICE....and I like the 1995 Penny Doubling too.I just yesterday Found a 1995 Doubling,but its Blobs heaven too... mine has Incredible things going on in liberty and in In God We Trust...
Yeah! I read on your site..that you don't have Digital Camera..like my self..but just to Keep the Promise I am going to Wal-Mart today and taking a BUNCH of pics via HQ scanner.Yes, even the 2011 with the Lase Bricks Images.yet I already Pretested its results..not so good due to Zinc shinny Pennys reflect light of the Scanners..God Bless America!

Welcome Voyager. The best advice i could give is that when doubt about a coin make sure and keep it, get some pics and put them on here. ask questions.

Friend,the Pictures are posted on Error and Varities area.As: 2011 Digital Bricks Error.I had some creative stuff done to get the pictures to come out very Right after all...we took a HIGH contrast Pic and then Scanned it.God Bless!
