A real gem from inside the bag

Hello everyone I hope all is well,
What are your thoughts on this 1964 D that I stashed a long time ago ?
Wished I would have wrapped it. Has a descent scratch but that could have been there when I put it in the bag.
The color of this coin is odd to me, very pretty and brilliant . Seems like a proof coin in appearance. DDO and DDR. On every letter it seems, along with date and MM
I will welcome all comments gratefully.

    Thanks, David

Looks like a normal 64-D, not a DDO or DDR. Still in great shape, makes me want to go back to 64 and be a carefree kid again

Nice looking coin. You might have some Machine Doubling, can't tell from the glare though.

While your obverse pic does look like DD on the motto, I am with the others. I think it helps to look from various angles when you have such a bright/clean coin.

Here is a link to verify for yourself -- You can look for any similar markers.

Very nice 64D and a keeper! TPring linked you to the coppercoins advanced search but it went to all years. Let's see if this link will work https://coppercoins.com/diesearch.ph...smint=d&page=0

Those shiny ones are so hard to photograph, but really nice to find! Compare yours to the listings and let us know if you see something!

You may have some die deterioration doubling going on at GOD WE, here's a link to that http://www.lincolncentforum.com/term...ion%20Doubling

            Thanks Viv,

I should have verified the link -- I simply clicked to go back a page then copied the link.

                    A good lesson

Thanks for the feedback. Learned a lesson on this one. I will check out the links and get back with what I find out. Thought I had something extra special there. As far as the MM it looks like strong MD also. I did notice the reverse is rotated about 10/15 degrees. I'll post a pic here when I start my thread about my 1946 S i found in the bag.
