Error Die Clash/Break | 1994 Lincoln cent with unique die clash

I found this one on Ebay and though the pictures were not that good, it looked intriguing so I ended up with it. This is a complicated die and now on MADdieclashes.com. This is the link to that page:

    http://maddieclashes.com/CCL_TI_-1c-1994-01.html

Mike Diamond and I just finished discussing the class of die clash that would be best for this event and it may be changed to ADC instead of CCL(Type I).

Why a change in designation? Is the forehead not enough or is it doubted?

Whatever the designation, a great eBay find! (BTW I came very close to bidding on this one...).

            Hi Jason,
It is not the fact that this is a counter clash, for it is. But we also must consider the tilted die aspect and the strength of the die clashes and also the amount of clashes present. Each part would put this clash into either an ADC or CCL category; we are just trying to figure out which class is the best fit.

I see where you're going BJ, and considering that argument, and how it may very well occur again in maddieclashes.com, will have to ruminate over it.

Under these circumstances, shouldn't you dual list it? I mean, list it as both a CCL and ADC? We dual list doubled dies with RPMs all the time.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

Im just so happy that you guys brought clashes to the light with the new site. I posted one on another site and they didnt have any idea that you guys were listing these. I put the link up to compare to mine I posted and it was all new to them.

Take a closer look, appears to me that it's a triple clash.

After some contemplation regarding the designation, I felt that the counter clash category was best for this particular clash, so it will be list as CCL(T1)-1c-1994-01.

Yes, this is a triple, staggered clash. The full write up on this coin is over in MADdieclashes.com and can be seen using this link:

Die clashes are one of the more misunderstood error types around. Hopefully Mike Diamond, Jason Cuvelier, Bob Piazza and myself will be able to make this error a bit more understandable.

WOW! BJ you wrapped up the meaning of Mad Dies in one coin!!!
Did you mention it is also a minor MAD on the obverse or am I wrong about that?
You hit pay dirt on that one.
