    Error Other | 1952-D w/ misplaced digit?

I found this very strange Lincoln yesterday and I don't know what to make of it. Any thoughts?

    TIA

Looks like a gouge under the tail of the 9. A closer pic would tell.

The die break/gouge from the tail of the 9 is similar in appearance to the 1952D-1MM-021. Unfortunately it is not exactly the same, because your coin does not have any split serifs that I can see. I have found several of the same coin and have always checked coppercoins and come to the same disappointing conclusion. Bummer. But keep looking anyway.

        It is a die gouge.

I see the gouge but I also see what appears to be a rotated "D"... Rotated CCW about 85%... INP though!!!

This anomaly is actually pretty common for the date. It is actually a die crack.
