This 1995 struck thru grease error is not in the best shape but always a fun find. This was another of our weekend finds.

The coin was not struck through grease. It was struck through a late-stage die cap. It is therefore a generic capped die strike.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. Was it the rim in some way that you were able to determine it to have been struck through a die-cap? or is there something else you look at to determine the difference between struck through grease and a die-cap?
