Error Die Clash/Break | Is this a Stalk and Chin Clash?

Just going through some wheats I haven't seen in awhile and I noticed in the field above LIB what looks like 2 wheat stalks. The one closer to the profile is more prominent than that to one left of it.

Also, on the reverse, by the N in ONE it looks like his chin.

If these are clashes aren't they not where they would typically be?
I'm not too familiar with clashes so I may just be reading into something that really is just PMD. Opinions?

I tried my best with the pics, apologies in advance for my crappy shots.

Hey Lara, These are the more typical die clashes seen on earlier wheats, I'm not sure on your coin?? Hope it helps.

I see the clash on the reverse but not on the obverse (from your pics) what should I be seeing??

and I know my questionable clashes are the 'typical' ones. Which is why I am really curious about.

      Thanks,

      Lara

At the base of the neck, just in front of his throat, the line the runs up and down is a clash from the letter N on the rev. This chin clash is very common on a lot of wheats. Once you get these down, you can help to I.D. the 1909 vdb FS-1102 Doubleddie, that rev. clash is a dead giveaway, I cherry-picked a nice B.U. on the end of a roll this way! The clashes move with any different die alignment making for some slight differences, but when you get it you got it!

You may have to send to the clash attributers for a in-hand look on the obverse but IMO it does look like a clash.

              I too think we're seeing a clash.
The more I look at it, the more I think you're right Lara. Send it in to BJ.
PM him first to see if he can look at it.

Please forgive me for asking, but would I contact BJ for clashes? I forget

Hi Lara - I think it may be a clash as well. I would have to see the coin in hand for a final determination though.

Those are not the normal locations for wheat clashes, but as BJ notes someone would have to see it in hand to figure it out...
