1968 S Proof centThick Planchet"?

Here's a 1968S proof cent which i think is a Thick planchet. Planchets from the wrong thickness are produced from the strip that was rolled improperly.
Too little pressure can result in stock that is to thick. To much pressure can result in stock that is to thin if the rollers are out of alignment on one sidea tapered planchet -thicker on one side then the other-is created. I just want to see what other might think if this is a thick planchet or not. The thickness is as thick as a nickle planchet

Nice coin and I would have to agree that it has a thick rim. This can also be caused by out of adjustment strike (Over pressure) strike.
If it is a thick planchet then it should weigh more than 3.11 grams. You might try weighing it.

I have found numerous coins in circulation that looked thicker than a normal coin, however when weighed they are the same weight as a normal coin.
