Error Rotated Die | A couple of rotated reverses.

Thought I would post a couple of RR I found in my last brick, one is a 1926 D and the other is a 1973 D. Nothing near 180 degrees but cool to look at anyway. Its been a while since any have been posted, enjoy.

You'll find that 1973D was an exceptional year for these slightly rotated dies. The 1973D you show is only slightly rotated, and that's very common. I have only found one that is about 30º rotated. As for the wheat, I know they are more common in the 20's and 10's, but don't know if the one you have is rotated enough for a premium.

I agree I do not think either of them are rotated enough to be unique to the 8 degrees allowed by the mints. It's just that I flip "every" coin I look at and these two jumped out at me. I have looked at alot of 1973's and this one just seemed to be rotated a little more.

          Thanks for looking

big years are 1994, 1972-D, and 1966 - but they happen on just about all dates. The mint considers 1-15% in its quality control.
            Nice finds!
