Hello all i have been searching yet another roll of coins today and have come upon this 1968 d with something wierd going on in the columns of the memorial and i look closer and to me it looked like the bowtie of lincoln but then there are also these two other raised lines to the left and i am just not sure.. thoughts?

Looks like a clash to me. This was common in that area of the reverse for the Memorial Cents.“What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.”Comment

Yeah i flip it with my eye on where the clash is and it seems to be the collar thats showing. The other two lines i am not sure. (I know what the two lines are now to the left. They seem to be the lapel in his suit!Last edited by Guest; 09-24-2012, 08:32 AM.Comment

I believe it is a clash of his beard. As stated, very common for this date. 1968-D was the first clash I ever found.Comment
