I wanted to know if the mint mark is filled in due to the machine doubling, or wear? I was just wondering what is wrong with it (if anything). Thanks.

Machine doublng on the date, die or circulation wear ob the MM. Keep up the hunt!

The mintmarks sometimes take on different characteristics depending on how the die was punched, die wear, die chipping and if circulated, circulation wear of hits. And I agree you have some clear MD on the date and maybe MM as well.
