    Error Other | 1983 D/S Cent?

    Got another possible error coin.

    Looks like a D mint mark was struck on top of a S mint mark?

      Welcome to the forum!
      Your coin has some plating blisters that have popped, and they just happen to "kind of" look like an S mintmark.

        I agree with Simon. You've got some plating blisters/zinc rot. Very common in this era. Sorry.

          Remember that if there is ONE genuine D/S coin, there have to be a lot more. The fact that none have ever been found to date should automatically lead you to be skeptical and start looking for other possibilities as to what your coin could be.
