    Error Die Clash/Break | 1987P Die Clash

I thought I'd share a couple pictures of the clash I found this weekend. This is the most prominent clash I have found to date. Thanks for looking!

Thanks. The obverse is pretty prominent too but I couldn't get a good picture of it. This is only the 2nd clash I've found and my first one just had a few of the bays visible. I really like this one.

Thanks. I was just looking at it again and noticed that you can make out the "T" from CENT also on the obverse.
Do these kind of things have any value to them? Curious since this is only the 2nd one I've come across.

I really like this clash. I'd say there'd be some interest in this coin if you were to try to sell it. Not sure how much but i'd be in on the bidding war. LOL

                Ha! Good to know
It was tough to gauge off of completed ebay listings. I couldn't find one with as strong a clash as what I have.

I agree that there would be some interest. Stronger clashes such as this one are desirable to quite a few folks.

Wow that is a very nice clash. Strong on both sides. Congrats on the find.

I've never seen a clash where Lincoln's head was so strongly outlined. That's strong!

Am I correct in assuming that this cent was struck when the clash was fairly new? They are usually fixed by mint workers right?

Evidence suggests that the Mint staff is quick to polish out clash damage, so it is likely that your example was minted sometime soon after the clash event. Value is anywhere from low, $5 up to maybe $30 if everything plays out right and you have a few interested bidders. The reverse clash marks are rather strong. Nice find.

I agree with Jason. I have sold many of these and got any where for $3.00 to $45. The stronger the clash the higher the money. Buyers want some thing they can see real easy. I would bid on something like this clash. You have a real nice one. Congats
