    Error Lamination | lamination error?

I was looking at this 92 d with a possible lamination error. What do you folks think? It is on an ms 60 or better but the only problem is the possible lamination error.

What you have there is split plating, exposing the zinc core. It is extremely common on plated cents. Lamination errors are found almost exclusively on solid copper-alloy cents made prior to mid 1982.

Ok cool. I wasn't sure. Just noticed it on a penny. I wasn't sure really. I have a wheatie that looks like a lamination error in the page error pictures. It could be pmd to though. Thanks for your input!

Just to clarify Christopher, that the Lincoln is a "cent" and that the term penny was used in England in their monetary system. Nothing raises the hackles of a Lincoln collector faster then the "p" word!
