Could someone please identify the do-dah on the bottom of obverse for me please. Was hoping for Cud but I don't think it is. Looks like a die break or extra metal. For all I know (which isn't much!) it's just damage. Thanks

Appears to be a metal fragment struck into the coin... The last pic shows what looks like a separation between the metal and surface of the coin (east end of fragment)... If you can remove the debri from the edges of the fragment you may be able to see more areas of separation when looking at it from a slight angle!!!Jim
