Error Other | 1959-d lathe lines

I was digging through stuff and actually found a 1959-d OBW roll I had not looked at so open it came !
No RPM's but I did find some Lathe lined reverses. My first actually.
Sorry for the poor detail shots , these lines were a beast to light!

I've got a ton of early memorial OBWs I haven't opened... but I just saw they added some early memorial varieties to the cpg, so maybe I'll have to get after that.

That's really cool. I actually thought your pics looked great. I saw the detail right away. Your depth is perfect.

Is Lincoln doubled John or is that from stacking? Sure looks cool

Jason, I just looked again and there is only one Abe there . Light doubling is more than likely the issue as I don't stack. I use an older Photoshop Elements and from what I have read it would be like jumping through hoops to stack so I just tighten up on the aperture.

Very easy to stack. You should try it. Free trial of Helicon 6. It's pretty cool but whatever your doing now looks great. I'll have to buy some of them wipes..lolll

They might be, but I'm not certain they aren't just quasi-concentric die scratches. They don't quite seem to be perfectly even and concentric like a lathe would produce. Interesting coin.

For some reason many of the early date memorial reverses show apparent lathe lines. Some of them appear to be from a master die, or working hub or all of them may be just the same master die showing different die states. They go up to 1964. Still trying to sort it out...
