    Error Die Clash/Break | Is this a clashed die?

    Looks like this could be E PLURIBUS UNUM at the base of Lincolns Bust.

    From the look of the L in Liberty and the 6 of the date I'm thinking it is Die deterioration. A very cool looking coin !

      I'd love to see that coin when it was a red unc. I bet it looked really cool

      I also think it does not have that much actual wear, it looked about like that the second it came off the press.
      Probably had no trace of wheat lines and everything looked blurry.

        Almost forgot the question, I don't see much of that being from a clash.
        Like John said, the die belonged in the worn out pile.
        They were certainly getting full use from the dies.

        LOL... not even sure but I'm thinking it's a 26-D.
        They are known for having trashed dies.

          The pics are a little to blurry for me to tell for sure... It could be a clash but I am leaning more toward the worn dies???
