Error Planchet | My first error/variety or variety/error:).

I found this straight clip in a group of wheats. I finally got around to really looking at it last night. Upon further inspection, it is also 1951D-1MM-002! I think this is the first dual variety-error that I have ever found. Not a big deal, but certainly a scarce occurrence. I have seen some broad struck and off center 1998 & 2000 WAM's, but very few other rpm's or doubled dies on error coins. This would be a difficult area to collect with what I assume would be a very small number of examples to choose from. Anyone else have a similar example of a dual error-variety? Happy searching everyone!

    John

I like it! What a great find. I don't believe I have a dual variety/error either but I would have to have a look. This is way cool though.

I have managed a 2000 P WAM double strike with 2nd strike a broad strike that I got from eBay unattributed
And a 2000 P WAM Off center strike also off eBay unattributed

got a 1970 P reverse of 1968 dime with a straight clip attributed and a 1970 D reverse of 1968 dime unattributed that is off centered both off of eBay
Saw a 1970 P doubled strike unattributed on eBay but did not win it

                    I am addicted to variety/errors
Find a variety you like. go to eBay and search for that year mint with the word "error" in the search and you can find them unatributed

The best I can manage in this category is a 1928P-1DO-001 with a fold over lam which is a bench warmer compared to yours. Sweet coin !

I bought my 46-S/D in an ANACs Holder with a small clip. When your looking at high end coins you really do not want the extra stuff because the grading companies want to charge extra an an ERROR..
